Claudio Parentela was born in Catanzaro, Italy in 1962. He currently lives and works there as an illustrator, painter, photographer, mail artist, cartoonist, collagist, and free lance journalist. His primary mediums are pen & ink on paper, collage, watercolour and oil on wood.

"I have been active for many years in the international underground scene. I’ve collaborated & I collaborate with many, zines, magazines of contemporary art, literature and comics, in Italy and in the world.

"My obscure and crazy artworks are shown in many art galleries and on the worldwide web.

"I have collaborated and I collaborate with many bands of industrial music, noise, experimental and electronic, harsh and death metal gore and punk. I’ve illustrated poems and stories for various publishers and have also published some personal booklets of illustrations and comics."
